Kat Elagina, created an atwork directly after the terrifying Hurricane Irma had left Florida. Kat did not leave her home and was an eye witness of the magnificent yet destructive powers of nature. Having been inspired by the all-mighty power of Irma, she collected some materials left after the hurricane in the empty streets: some pieces of palm trunk, palm fiber and a coke can. Using these objects, she created an impressive artwork to symbolize Irma's power. She based this artwork on the idea of African masks, which are objects which stay for different powers, and created her own mask of Irma. The artwork embodies the all-mighty of Nature, the destructions it might bring upon us, as well as the truths the Nature reveals to us through its actions.
